Hummus dip

Recipe thanks to Healthy recipes for sporting clubs and facilities.

Ingredients

  • 150grams canned chickpeas
  • 1 tablespoon olive oil
  • 1/2 teaspoon garlic, crushed
  • 2 teaspoons tahini
  • 1/2 teaspoon cumin, ground
  • lemon juice to taste

Method

  1. Drain chickpeas and rinse with water.
  2. Combine all ingredients in a food processor with oil and blend until smooth.

Tips

  • Can be prepared ahead of time.
  • Can be used as a delicious spread on toast or as a sandwich filling.
  • Can be used alongside fresh vegetable sticks and served as a healthy snack.
