Lauren's Curried Sausages
Recipe thanks to Lauren Kalms from Campaspe Community Children’s Centre
Ingredients
- 8 sausages
- 1 large onion, thinly sliced
- 1 ½ tbsp Garam Masala or cumin
- 1 tbsp plain flour
- 2 apples, cored and cut into wedges
- 2 cups chicken stock
- 1 cup beans
- Salt and pepper to taste
Instructions
- Heat 1 Tbsp oil in fry pan and brown sausages all over. Remove from pan and cut into pieces, set aside. Add 1 Tbsp oil to same pan and cook onions until softened.
- Stir Garam Masala or cumin and plain flour evenly through onions. Slowly add stock, continually stirring to ensure no lumps
- Add apple, sultanas and return cut sausages to pan. Bring to boil. Reduce heat to low and simmer (covered if possible) for 15mins.
- Add beans and cream, cook for a further 5mins until beans are cooked.
- Season to taste.
- Serve with rice.
