Healthy Loddon Campaspe and Loddon Shire Council have teamed up to offer Healthy Sports Rewards to local sporting clubs.
Healthy Sports Rewards aims to offer an alternative to the unhealthy food and drink vouchers often presented to junior sporting club participants.
We're committed to supporting sporting clubs to be places that are active, healthy and socially connected. Healthy Sports Rewards vouchers are a great way to recognise junior players and offer healthier rewards that support health and wellbeing.
In 2025, the Healthy Sports Clubs and Rewards project was delivered across four cricket clubs in Loddon Shire - Boort Yando Cricket Club, Bridgewater Bulls Cricket Club, Kingower Cricket Club, and Wedderburn Band Cricket Club.
Local businesses played a key role in supporting the project. Boort IGA, Champions IGA in Inglewood, and Randall's Food Works in Wedderburn supplied fresh fruit boxes, while Cafe 3571 and Godfrey & Bear provided vouchers for healthier menu items. Their involvement helped make healthy options more accessible for clubs involved.
